New Backup Software and Server

We recently introduce new and improved backup solutions for our webservers with vastly improved performance and space.

We recently invested heavily in new (vastly improved) backup software and a new dedicated backup server with 1TB space.

This replaces the old backup software which was starting to struggle with the load as our network continues to expand.  The new software works totally differently and is far more efficient from a load point of view on the servers.

Previously we were having some issues with servers such as RIGEL and SIRIUS where the old software was simply not managing to do a good job.  We are very pleased to announce as of now ALL SERVERS are once again fully backed up each day with incremental backups.

As the new system works differently we will no longer be keeping an external "mirror" backup in a different datacentre.  If you require this level of backup protection for your websites/files then discuss this with your account manager and we will implement a specific solution for you.
